Gospel Matthew 5:17-19 I have not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets but to complete them Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. If look at the 10 commandment it talks about how our relationship with God and with our fellow brothers and sisters should be. Christ completed the law by teaching us love your God and your neighbor as yourself. Just remember when we love someone we will not hurt them.

The Catholic Church historically observes the discipline of fasting and abstinence at various times each year. For Catholics, fasting is the reduction of one's intake of food, while abstinence refers to refraining from meat. The purpose of fasting is spiritual focus, self-discipline, imitation of Christ, and performing penance (from Wikipedia)  Do you observe fasting?
