Gospel Luke 6:36-38 Grant pardon, and you will be pardoned Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Be compassionate as your Father is compassionate. Do not judge, and you will not be judged yourselves; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned yourselves; grant pardon, and you will be pardoned. Give, and there will be gifts for you: a full measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap; because the amount you measure out is the amount you will be given back.’ Reflection One of the greatest gift we have is being judgmental. We are to pass judgement on the way a person dress or a person act. Sad to say none of us is perfect. Only God is perfect but what Christ want from us is not perfection but live the christian way. When we do that people will see us and may follow us. Let us pray  Lord Jesus we know we are not perfect . May the holy Spirit be upon so that may not be judgemental but see the goodness in everyone. Gospel Mark 1:12-15 Jesus was tempted by Satan, and the angels looked after him The Spirit drove Jesus out into the wilderness and he remained there for forty days, and was tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts, and the angels looked after him.     After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the Good News from God. ‘The time has come’ he said ‘and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the Good News.’ Reflection His fast of forty days makes this a holy season of self-denial. By rejecting the devil's temptations he has taught us to rid ourselves of the hidden corruption of evil, and so to share his paschal meal in purity of heart, until we come to its fulfillment in the promised land of heaven. Let us pray Lord Jesus fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may have the strength and courage to embrace your will in all things and to renounce whatever is contrary to your will for me. Amen

Gospel Luke 5:27-32 Jesus comes not to call the virtuous, but sinners to repentance Jesus noticed a tax collector, Levi by name, sitting by the customs house, and said to him, ‘Follow me.’ And leaving everything he got up and followed him.     In his honour Levi held a great reception in his house, and with them at table was a large gathering of tax collectors and others. The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples and said, ‘Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?’ Jesus said to them in reply, ‘It is not those who are well who need the doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the virtuous, but sinners to repentance.’ Reflection The reading tells us Jesus came to look for Sinners so that he can be a bridge to the kingdom of God. He also is trying to remind the Pharisees there is no spotless person. Everyone is a Sinner and we all need Christ to enter the kingdom of God. Gospel Matthew 9:14-15 When the bridegroom is taken from them, then they will fast John’s disciples came to Jesus and said, ‘Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not?’ Jesus replied, ‘Surely the bridegroom’s attendants would never think of mourning as long as the bridegroom is still with them? But the time will come for the bridegroom to be taken away from them, and then they will fast.’ Reflection True fasting is to refrain from vice. Shred to pieces all your unjust contracts. Reflection Jesus knew the hearts of those who came to test him. They were more interested in seeking signs to prove that they were right and Jesus was wrong. Jesus revealed the true intention of their heart - they came to argue with him and to test him (Mark 8:11) because they did not believe that he spoke in the name of his Father in heaven. They wanted to discredit his claim to be the true Messiah and Savior.
