Luke 8:19-21
'My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God'

The mother and the brothers of Jesus came looking for him, but they could not get to him because of the crowd. He was told, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside and want to see you.’ But he said in answer, ‘My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it into practice.’

Reflection
Who are my brothers and sisters? Christ mentioned two critria. Those who hear the word of God and put into practice. Today Christians all over the world are considered brothers and sisters by virtue of following Christ. The question is do we listen to the word of God and put into practice.

Let us pray
Lord Jesus thy word is a lamb unto my feet and a light into my path. When I feel afraid,think I've lost my way,still you're there right beside me and nothing will I fear as long as you are near. Please be near me to the end.

Answer to the parable of the Sower
