Gospel John 11:45-56 Jesus was to die to gather together the scattered children of God Many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary and had seen what Jesus did believed in him, but some of them went to tell the Pharisees what Jesus had done. Then the chief priests and Pharisees called a meeting. ‘Here is this man working all these signs’ they said ‘and what action are we taking? Gospel Matthew 5:17-19 I have not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets but to complete them Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. Christ came not to change the law but to complement the law. Complementing the law means giving meaning to the 10 commandments. He did this by asking everyone to love God and love our fellowman .
