John 15:26-27,16:12-15
The Spirit of truth will lead you to the complete truth

Jesus said to his disciples:

‘When the Advocate comes,
whom I shall send to you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who issues from the Father,
he will be my witness.
And you too will be witnesses,
because you have been with me from the outset.

‘I still have many things to say to you
but they would be too much for you now.
But when the Spirit of truth comes
he will lead you to the complete truth,
since he will not be speaking as from himself
but will say only what he has learnt;
and he will tell you of the things to come.
He will glorify me,
since all he tells you
will be taken from what is mine.
Everything the Father has is mine;
that is why I said:
All he tells you
will be taken from what is mine.’

Reflection
When a rich man dies everything that belongs to the man will be fought over by the Children . One of the reason is because there is no will. Jesus on the other hand does not face the same problem for whatever belongs to the Father belong to Christ. Whatever belong to Christ belong to us for we are his disciples. Do we deserve what belong to Christ?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of Pentecost and for the new life you offer in the Holy Spirit. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and set my heart ablaze with the fire of your love that I may serve you in joy and freedom.
