Matthew 11:25-27
You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children
Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’
Reflection
Jesus invites us to humbly approach the mysteries of God, recognizing that true wisdom often rests not in what we can prove or perform, but in openness, trust, and childlike dependence. The Father’s gracious revelation comes to those who become receptive, letting go of pride and simply receiving the gift of knowing the Son. In this space of vulnerably listening, we are drawn into relationship—into the intimate knowledge that morning by morning, we are named, loved, and invited to participate in God’s mission.
Reflection Question
How can I cultivate childlike openness today to the ways God longs to reveal himself to me?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing to reveal Yourself to the humble and to those who listen with childlike trust. Help me lay aside pride and overthinking, and open my heart to the Son who reveals the Father. Teach me to receive Your truth with gratitude, to live in dependence on You, and to share freely the love and wisdom You pour into me. Through Jesus, Amen.
