Jesus said follow me

Matthew 9:9-13
Follow me. And he got up and followed him.

As Jesus passed by, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him. While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat with Jesus and his disciples. The Pharisees saw this and said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” He heard this and said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. Go and learn the meaning of the words, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”

Reflection
Jesus said to Mathew ,come follow me. He sat with tax collectors and sinners which upset the pharisees . Jesus said no healthy people need a doctor Today this message means Jesus is still calling people to follow him. His door is always open to everyone including sinners. As witnesses we are responsible to share the good news and bring more people to Christ.

Let us pray
Oh Lord Jesus there are many people who do not know you. Grant we pray more will be be able to know and follow you through us who are your witness.

God honour the faithful servant
