Jesus said be clean inside

Gospel
Luke 11:37-41
Give alms and behold, everything will be clean for you.

After Jesus had spoken, a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home. He entered and reclined at table to eat. The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal. The Lord said to him, “Oh you Pharisees! Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil. You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.”

Reflection
We as human will do everything possible to make ourselves look clean. Sad to say it is not clean outside which is our gateway to heaven. Instead it is to be clean inside. What does it mean to be clean inside? It is to love and have a pure of heart. What are we doing to have a pure of heart and to love.

Let us pray
Lord Jesus you have said it is important to be clean inside. Help us oh lord to live with a pure of heart and to love. Only than can we be a true disciple and your witness.

No respect for Christ or John
