The Lord's Prayer

Gospel
Luke 11:1-4
Lord, teach us to pray.

Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Father, hallowed be your name,
    your kingdom come.
    Give us each day our daily bread
    and forgive us our sins
    for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us,
    and do not subject us to the final test.”

Reflection
The Lord's prayer is a beautiful prayer. It give us a guidee how to pray. It is divided in to 4 parts. Firstly we start our prayer by honouring our father in heaven .Secondly we pray for our needs. Thirdly we pray for forgiveness for ourselves and those who hurt us. Finally we pray we will not be put to the test in facing the evil one. How do we pray to God ? Is it all about telling God what we want?

Let us pray.
Lord Jesus thank you for giving us a guide on how to pray.

No respect for Christ or John
