Christ wept for us

Luke 19:41-44
If you only knew what makes for peace.

As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace– but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

Reflection
In this reading Christ wept. Christ wept because God send the prophets as a bridge to bring the jews back to God . They refused . He also cried because he was about to die on a cross so that mankind can have eternal life. Today Christ is still weeping because many still do not have faith even though they know Christ.Do we have complete faith in Christ?

Let us pray .
Lord Jesus in today 's reading you cried for us because people refuse to believe. Grant we pray we will follow your way oh Lord so that when the time comes we will be in heaven with you.
