The word of God is nourishment

Gospel
Luke 21:29-33
When you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near.

Jesus told his disciples a parable. “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near; in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

Reflection
The fig tree provide food for the Jews . It provides nourishment. Christ is the word of God. He provides nourishment for the soul Whoever listen to the word of God will have eternal life. Are we listening to the word of God ?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus like the fig tree you provide nourishment for the soul. Grant we pray we will always listen to your word so that we will have eternal life.
