Luke 2:36-40
She spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.

There was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived seven years with her husband after her marriage, and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple, but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer. And coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.
    When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions of the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him.

Reflection
Anna the phrophettes lived a life of fasting and prayers in the temple the rest of her remaining life. Jesus meanwhile went back to Nazereth grew  became strong,filled with wisdom and favour of God with him. Both Christ and Anna lived a life in God's favour. How should we live in Christ favour? All our Lord ask is love the lord your God with all your heart with all your mind as you love your neigjbour as you love yourself. Do we live by Christ commandment?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus  you gave us a new commandment to love God,our neighbour as we love ourselves. Help us live a life full of love.

Trust in Christ Grace

Gospel Mark 6:30-34 They were like sheep without a shepherd The apostles rejoined Jesus and told him all they had done and taught. Then he said to them, ‘You must come away to some lonely place all by yourselves and rest for a while’; for there were so many coming and going that the apostles had no time even to eat. So they went off in a boat to a lonely place where they could be by themselves. But people saw them going, and many could guess where; and from every town they all hurried to the place on foot and reached it before them. So as he stepped ashore he saw a large crowd; and he took pity on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he set himself to teach them at some length.
