Gospel
Mark 3:7-12
The unclean spirits shouted, “You are the Son of God,” but Jesus warned them sternly not to make him known.
Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples. A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea. Hearing what he was doing, a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan, and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him. He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases were pressing upon him to touch him. And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him and shout, “You are the Son of God.” He warned them sternly not to make him known.
Reflection
2000 years ago Christ came to mankind bringing good news. For the lost soul Christ promised hope and eternal life. For the sick Christ brought healing. Today there are many lost and hungry soul out there. As Christ disciple it is our responsibility to share the good news that will give hope? What are we doing to share the good news?
Let us pray
Lord Jesus when you came to this world you gave hope to mankind to find peace within their. You also gave hope for eternal life. Today as your disciples we are expected to do the same. Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit we will share the good news to your people.
