Let us have peace

Gospel
Matthew 12:46-50
My mother and my brothers are anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven

Jesus was speaking to the crowds when his mother and his brothers appeared; they were standing outside and were anxious to have a word with him. But to the man who told him this Jesus replied, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ And stretching out his hand towards his disciples he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven, he is my brother and sister and mother.’

Reflection
In today's reading Christ gives us a lesson on relationship. If we look at the 10 commandment the first 4 commandment is about honouring God . Only the fifth commandment is about family. Further in Christ teaching he had always said I have come to do the will of the Father. We too must do the will of the Father . When we does that we will build a bond because we are doing something in common. Imagine everyone on Earth doing the will of the Father. There will be peace on earth. Is your family relationship based on doing the will of the Father?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus nothing matters  more in life than to have peace within ourself ,our family and on earth. May more people come to you so we can have that peace.

No respect for Christ or John
