Simplicity of Heart

Gospel
Matthew 11:25-27
You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children

Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’

Reflection
When Christ began his ministry the first disciples were mere fisherman . Not very highly educated but they have simplicity of heart like little children. This allow them to receive knowledge and built a personal relationship with God. Today we too are asked to have a simplicity of heart. Only that way can we built a personal relationship with God and accept what is a mystery like the trinity and the breaking of bread and wine. Do you accept Christ in your life like little children?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus you shared the good news to those with simplicity of heart. May we continue to be humble so that your word will stay in our heart forever and ever.

Trust in Christ Grace

Gospel Mark 6:30-34 They were like sheep without a shepherd The apostles rejoined Jesus and told him all they had done and taught. Then he said to them, ‘You must come away to some lonely place all by yourselves and rest for a while’; for there were so many coming and going that the apostles had no time even to eat.
