John 3:13-17
God sent his Son so that through him the world might be saved

Jesus said to Nicodemus:

‘No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who came down from heaven,
the Son of Man who is in heaven;
and the Son of Man must be lifted up
as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.
Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost
but may have eternal life.
For God sent his Son into the world
not to condemn the world,
but so that through him the world might be saved.’

Reflection
Christ make a declaration to Nicodemus. He came down from heaven which mean he is God. Why did he come to the world? So that through Christ mankind can be saved. What is our role to continue what Christ has done? Share the good news everyday of our life. Can we do that?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus you came to this world so that mankind will be save. May we continue your good work

His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph; but before they came to live together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
