Walk in the light

Gospel
Luke 8:16-18
Anyone who has will be given more

Jesus said to the crowds:
    ‘No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bowl or to put it under a bed. No, he puts it on a lamp-stand so that people may see the light when they come in. For nothing is hidden but it will be made clear, nothing secret but it will be known and brought to light. So take care how you hear; for anyone who has will be given more; from anyone who has not, even what he thinks he has will be taken away.’

Reflection
Why do we need light in the dark? We need light so we can see. Everything is out in the  open. When Christ gave this teaching two important message is shared. Firstly  it is about living a transparent life. Only evil live in darkness. Secondly we must know our Lord more and more. If our knowledge is less we will drown when face with challenges. Are you walking in the light?

Lord Jesus you brought light when you came to this world. May we walk in the light with you always.

His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph; but before they came to live together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
