Gospel Luke 11:1-4 How to pray Once Jesus was in a certain place praying, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.’     He said to them, ‘Say this when you pray: ‘“Father, may your name be held holy, your kingdom come; give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive each one who is in debt to us. And do not put us to the test.”’ Reflection The Lord's prayer is a model prayer which we should follow. It has four component. The first component is always begin your prayer by thanking and glorifying the father in heaven. Secondly ask for our daily need. Thirdly seek forgiveness and finally pray that no harm will come to us. Do  you begin your prayer by thanking and glorifying God? Let us pray Lord Jesus thank you for teaching us how to pray. It is Mary who has chosen the better part; it is not to be taken from her.’ Reflection What is our focus here on earth. For many it is all about  work work work. Little or no time is given to listen to the word of God. The story of Mary and Martha is a classic tale of what our focus should be. Gospel Luke 9:57-62 'I will follow you wherever you go' As Jesus and his disciples travelled along they met a man on the road who said to him, ‘I will follow you wherever you go.’ Jesus answered, ‘Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.’     Another to whom he said, ‘Follow me’, replied, ‘Let me go and bury my father first.’ But he answered, ‘Leave the dead to bury their dead; your duty is to go and spread the news of the kingdom of God.’     Another said, ‘I will follow you, sir, but first let me go and say goodbye to my people at home.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Once the hand is laid on the plough, no one who looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.’ Reflection Following Christ demand sacrifice . There are 3 sacrifices Christ show in this reading. Firstly let go of the comfort on this earth. Secondly do not dwell in the  past but dwell in Christ . Finally be fully committed and make heaven our desire.Are

Gospel Matthew 18:1-5,10 Anyone who welcomes a little child in my name welcomes me The disciples came to Jesus and said, ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ So he called a little child to him and set the child in front of them. Then he said, ‘I tell you solemnly, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. And so, the one who makes himself as little as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.     ‘Anyone who welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. See that you never despise any of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven are continually in the presence of my Father in heaven.’ Reflection Why does Jesus warn his disciples to "not despise the little ones?" God dwells with the lowly and regards them with compassion. His angels watch over them as guardians. God has not left us alone in our struggle "to refuse evil and to choose good" Let
