Gospel
Luke 12:36-38
Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit

Jesus said to his disciples:
    ‘See that you are dressed for action and have your lamps lit. Be like men waiting for their master to return from the wedding feast, ready to open the door as soon as he comes and knocks. Happy those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. I tell you solemnly, he will put on an apron, sit them down at table and wait on them. It may be in the second watch he comes, or in the third, but happy those servants if he finds them ready.’

Reflection
Today Christ told us to be prepared at all times. A lot of people refer be prepared to the second coming of Christ. The truth is Christ  is  referring to be prepared for we do not know when we will be called to meet our maker. How do we prepare ourselves? Repent, read the gospel ,share the good news ,love our God ,our neighbour and ourself. Do this and  the kingdom of God is at hand. Do you value God happiness with you?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus may we be prepared all the days of my life for I know your kingdom is close at hand.
