John 16:12-15
The Spirit of truth will lead you to the complete truth

Jesus said to his disciples:

‘I still have many things to say to you
but they would be too much for you now.
But when the Spirit of truth comes
he will lead you to the complete truth,
since he will not be speaking as from himself
but will say only what he has learnt;
and he will tell you of the things to come.
He will glorify me,
since all he tells you
will be taken from what is mine.
Everything the Father has is mine;
that is why I said:
All he tells you
will be taken from what is mine.’

Reflection
These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31). That’s our great aim in worshiping our way through this Gospel—to see the glory of Christ and believe and have eternal life and joy. How far do you believe in Christ?

Let us pray
Lord Jesus create in me a clean heart. Put a new and right spirit within me . Cast me not away from your presence and take not your holy Spirit from me.

God honour the faithful servant
