Open the eyes of my heart Lord

Matthew 11:25-27
You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children

Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’

Reflection
Why did Christ reveal himself to ordinary people? Christ came to earth for the salvation of mankind. Right from day one it had been the ordinary people that are with him. From Mary Joseph to the apostles and finally his apparition after the Ressurrection they were all ordinary people who open their heart and accepted christ. All Christ want is open our heart.

No respect for Christ or John
