My yoke is easy and my burden light

Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

**Reflection:**

In today’s Gospel, Jesus invites us to come to Him with our burdens and weariness. His words remind us that true rest and peace are found not in avoiding life's challenges, but in trusting Him and taking His yoke upon us. Jesus describes Himself as gentle and humble in heart, offering a yoke that is easy and a burden that is light. When we choose to follow Him, we find that the weight of our worries becomes lighter, and our souls find rest. It’s an invitation to surrender our heavy burdens and learn from His gentle heart, trusting that His way leads to peace and renewal.
